The world's leading membership, training, and advocacy association for law enforcement chaplaincy
Chaplaincy offers the most impactful support available to law enforcement professionals. The International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC) continues to raise the standard for training and supporting chaplains while we maintain an intentional focus on moral excellence, cutting-edge training, and effective communications to encourage every law enforcement agency to establish and maintain a powerful chaplaincy. We welcome you to explore what it means to be a chaplain and how you can join with other chaplains as we learn and grow together.
The mission of the Federation of Fire Chaplains is to bring together persons interested in providing an effective Chaplain Service: to give aid, comfort and help to firefighters and their families; to work toward the betterment of all areas of the fire and emergency service; to serve God, to aid humanity, our communities, our governments, our religions, our countries and the quality of life; to help mankind in developing their most noble characteristic-that of serving others; to help bring about a better understanding among all people with mutual harmony and respect regardless of one’s level of authority; and to achieve a single healing, unifying spirit of love for God and each other.
The Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy's ministry provides comfort and counsel to first responders, their families and the victims of crisis. The chaplains bring expert critical incident stress management and a caring presence to the most difficult, stressful scenes.
The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is the driving force behind nearly every advance in the fire and emergency services in the 21st century.
ICISF provides training for individuals interested in becoming a part of a crisis management team, or for an organization that is dedicated to helping individuals or groups recover from incidents. Read this primer written by ICISF’s founders (Dr. George Everly & Dr. Jeff Mitchell), who pioneered Critical Incident Stress Management, which provides an in-depth overview into CISM.
The Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team provides an array of services designed to meet the needs of our emergency services personnel and their families.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Assistance Program (SCLEAP) was born out of the actual needs of state police officers serving in the field as well as non-sworn administrative staff members and their families. Modeled on a concept currently used by the FBI, SCLEAP is an employee assistance program which provides services as well as maintaining a cadre of volunteer chaplains across the state. The staff and volunteers are on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, in order to better serve the needs of all South Carolina law enforcement employees.
We provide awareness level training to all of our state’s first responders, to assist in recognizing daily stressors, both in their personal lives and during their emergency responses as well as to respond after potentially traumatic events.
