SCLEAP is hosting an extended unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (Focus is Public Safety Chaplaincy) between September 23, 2025 and January 27, 2026.

This will be an in-person class. There is no charge for SC Public Safety Chaplains. There will be a fee for any chaplains who are not SC Public Safety Chaplains. This is not a general unit. It is only for Public Safety Chaplains.
Location: Classes will be held at Heyward Street United Methodist Church, 2501 Heyward Street, Columbia, SC 29205 (Room 219) There is no online version of CPE planned for the Fall of 2025.

Each person enrolled in this extended unit will be required to participate in supervision with the CPE Educator. The Educator will provide more information on the supervision requirement.
Ministry Site: If you are not currently connected with a Public Safety location where you can accumulate your 300 hours of chaplaincy service, please seek to make that connection yourself or chat with me about assistance. Everyone will need a public safety setting for their chaplaincy service. Options may exist with the SC Sherriff’s Association or the SC Police Chief’s Association.
